Today, I went to Sage and Willow Farm, located in Poulsbo, WA. They were hosting Fiber Day weekend sales, and I was looking for a fleece that I could gain processing experience. I really wanted to take the yarn from start to finish, and it looked like the owner was selling fleeces for a really good deal. As it turned out, it looked like I was right. Here are some of the screenshots of the sheep fleece that I decided to purchase for $35 per fleece. The Sheep are Finn. I love how the locks look.

I am going to separate and skirt each fleece. I’m getting a table prepared to work on this. Thinking I might start with a tarp first, and then see if I’ve got a frame to work on it or put chicken wire over. These are pictures of photos I used when comparing the fleece to each other. These are pictures of the ones I brought home, although I have others I took pictures of. I used chatGPT to help me choose and select the best fleeces of the one I selected to look at. I agreed with him on the first selection, and the second, I wasn’t sure about but decide he had been right on the first.
